Meet the Timeline: Time Management is Now Visual

We’re so happy to release one of our biggest and most important features to date:

Meet the revolutionary new timeline.

With the timeline, we’ve made time management visual:

  • Plan visually with a single glance
  • Instantly see who’s working on what when, and for how long
  • Create a roadmap and schedule everything

It’s finally possible to manage people and their workload in a totally visual way. It’s everything you’d want from a Gantt Chart, but super flexible, intuitive, and focused on people. Watch this introductory video to get started:

Here’s how you’ll benefit:

  • Never miss a deadline
  • See who’s busy and who’s not
  • When plans change, incorporate the changes seamlessly
  • Always see the big picture

Want to get started with the timeline? Try dapulse now for free. As always, we can’t wait to hear what you think.

Can you change the colour of the timeline for that specific task. We preferably would like to change the colour to red but are unable to figure out how, If it’s possible

    • Hi Michael, good question! We can’t yet achieve this with the timeline, but it’s on the works for the next version 🙂 Stay tuned!

        Is this still the case?

  • Karine

Is it possible to change the range in the timeline to year? (show on a year basis not just months or weeks, makes for a lot of scrolling when we have large projects going over a year or more)

  • Joshua Abehsera

Is there the option to add dependencies within the timeline?

    • Hey Joshua!

Ah, dependencies. A big topic 🙂
We do not love dependencies here at dapulse. We believe that dependencies can ruin your entire workflows and make you dependent on dates and meta-data. However, we understand the need for it. We are thinking and brainstorming on a “dapulse” way to solve dependencies. If you have any suggestion, we’re all ears!

Yes, seeing it by year would be handy. Also the date only shows month in the pulse list, so you don’t know whether it’s this year or in 3 years time.

    • Hey Mark 🙂
Good point, really. For the due date column, we add the year if it isn’t planned for the current year. However, we aren’t doing it yet in the timeline. Sent to the product and developers now, and I’m sure they’ll like that idea.

Found a work around to make the enter process easier… Basically download the mobile app version (I used an IPad) and then the timeline feature is substituted with the date picker (start and end) which makes it a lot faster to enter. After you set dates, then you can go back to your dashboard and view the timelines but you still won’t get the year view….

    • Hi Aldrich! We also have a date picker on the web app, did you know?
On the timeline cell, you will see arrows on the left and right; click and it will open a calendar picker 🙂

  • Rob Martens

A year/2-year view is absolutely a must have! Any news on that?

    • Hey Rob! You’re absolutely right. We’re preparing our timeline V2… and it will include a year view, and much more. Stay tuned 🙂
